New schedules of third party rights

PLC Construction has published two new Standard documents:

The standard documents complement Standard document, Schedule of third party rights to be provided by a contractor.

These standard documents set out third party rights to be provided in favour of a client, employer, funder, purchaser or tenant, in accordance with the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. They include integrated drafting notes, which provide guidance on using the schedules and issues that may require negotiation between the parties.

Following on from these new standard documents, PLC Construction plans to publish standard clauses allowing use of the schedules with our existing material, including with Standard documents, Schedule of amendments to JCT Design and Build Contract, 2005 edition, Revision 2 2009 and Professional appointment.
