The Association of Consulting Architects (ACA) has published amendments to the suspension, payment and adjudication terms of the PPC2000, following the changes to Part II of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (Construction Act 1996) introduced by Part 8 of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (LDEDC Act 2009).
The Association of Consulting Architects (ACA) has published amendments to the suspension, payment and adjudication terms of PPC2000 (amended 2008) and associated contracts, following the changes to Part II of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 (Construction Act 1996) introduced by Part 8 of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 (LDEDC Act 2009). Both the ACA and Trowers & Hamlins LLP recommend that the amendments are used on PPC2000 contracts entered into on or after 1 October 2011 in England and Wales.
To assist users of PPC2000, the amendments include a marked-up version of the payment clause (clause 20), so that users can easily see the changes. The ACA has said these amendments will be incorporated into PPC2000 when it is next republished.
