TCC rejects indemnity claim following fire at hairdressing salon

In Hi-Lite Electrical Ltd v Wolseley UK Ltd [2011] EWHC 2153 (TCC), Ramsey J in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC) rejected a claim for an indemnity brought by the company who installed a pump in a hairdressing salon against the pump's supplier. In doing so, the TCC rejected a claim that the pump was not of satisfactory quality under section 14(2) of the Sale of Goods Act 1979.
