High Court lifts automatic suspension on award of NHS services

On 24 July 2012, the High Court has granted an application by NHS Primary Care Trusts to lift the automatic suspension, under regulation 47G(1) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006, so allowing them to proceed with a contract for the provision of diabetic retinopathy screening services (Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospital NHS Foundation Trust v Newcastle Primary Care Trust & Ors [2012] EWHC 2093 (QB)).
