In R (Prudential plc and another) v Special Commissioner of Income Tax and another [2013] UKSC 1, the Supreme Court dismissed Prudential's appeal of the Court of Appeal decision in R (Prudential plc and another) v Special Commissioner of Income Tax and another [2010] EWCA Civ 1094, refusing to extend the scope of legal advice privilege to tax law advice given by accountants.
